Where can a P100 peso bill take you these days?

Island Cove.

For a very affordable and yet memorable trip, go to Island Cove. Here I go again plugging one of a tourist spots in Cavite.

Our plan to have a girl-bonding with my bestfriend had finally paid off. Originally, we have to meet first at SM Bacoor at 12 noon before we'll go to Island Cove. But since the sun's heat deeply penetrates our skin, we decided to stay in a while until can manage to go there.

The "in-a-while-plan" turn to hours. First we ate at Greenwich, updating each other. Went window-shopping while talking, had to stop for a washroom break while talking, ordered fruit juices in Juice Avenue while talking, and walk around the mall while talking.

Janzel ordered 5th avenue combination of fruits like apple, kiwi, pineapple, (forgot the other one) while I ordered Calle Escolta mixture of mango, banana, watermelon and melon. While talking we saw Lyn Ching who's tall, white and pretty strolling along the mall and boy when we looked at each other... we are definitely star-strucked.

At first we are hesitant if we have to go to Island Cove because even if it is already 4:30, it is still way too hot to venture in Kawit considering we have to take an open air bus. Finally we decided at around 5 to go there.

When we reached our destination, we timidly approached the security guard there to ask where should we pay our entrance. He said that we should walk further and ask the front desk. Jah told me that she heard the guard told us " Mam pwede nyo po ipasok yun sasakyan nyo" It kinda embarrassed us because we don't have a car with us and we may need to walk our way through the whole cove.

My plan was to check out the mini-zoo for some exotic animals. The front desk said that the entrance is P100, consumable. After we paid the entrance we happily walked and cross the hanging bridge. It's not very comfortable considering you're wobbling while walking. We went to find the mini zoo but we changed our mind because at 5:30 it is still hot and it looks like there are few people who's interested to watch the animals so we decided to

1. Stroll again
2. Take a bunch of pictures
3. Sing our heart out in Island Songs.

With no further introduction here are our " promising pictures "

Went near the fishing area to strike another pose. As you can see, the sun is setting and yet we were still having fun

This is me while taking a pic of the caption Be Free, Be Daring, Be Gorgeous.
Kamusta naman ang likod.

Our final agenda for the day.. We went for the kill -- to Island Songs and definitely sang our heart out.

We sang our favorite songs for an hour. It's like we have our mini-concert in that room.

Janzel's songs -- If I Believe, Kailan, Paraiso, Complicated, I'm Like A Bird, Don't Dream It's Over and a song that touched my heart --> For You I Will and a lot more.

Irene's songs -- This I Promise You, Love Makes No Promises, If You Asked Me (sing ala Celine Dion) Dying Inside hahaha a lot more , and the finale song for the night that we could relate to --- I Need To Be Next To You by Leigh Nash.

No, we didn't ate all the pizzas. We took it home.

Couldn't help it. We still need to take a pic before we go home.

Salamat Po Island Cove, cause we did enjoy our friendship day! =)

Flowers today for sisterness... for lip gloss and blue jeans, for staying late to talk, for highscool ways and college days and all the years in between. Flowers for the sisters we grow up with and those that we meet along the way...

There are women who changed my life because they were friends
There are women who changed my life because they were women....
